ADHIKR

By leading a life that ignores Adhikr—Mercy and Prosperity—after receiving It, the disbelievers have narrowed their life even in this world. Since they do not make their reckoning from this world by utilizing Adhikr—which is the Standard of Judgement in the Hereafter—all their deeds will be shown to them as futile at the time of their death and in the Hereafter, as told in verses 25: 23 and 47: 1, 8–9. And as told in verse 7: 37, at the time of death, they will witness against their soul: “Indeed, we were disbelievers.” See explanation 39: 59–60; 63: 9–10; and 73: 17.
